A full detail adds decontamination of the paint with a clay treatment and iron fallout remover, machine polishing to remove swirl marks and light scratches, and a protective layer. Paint correction is the slow part and is charged by the hour, because it means measuring paint thickness and machine polishing panel by panel. Protection ranges from a traditional wax lasting weeks, to a sealant lasting months, to a ceramic coating lasting years if maintained properly. A ceramic coating does not make paint scratch proof, it makes it easier to clean and more resistant to chemicals and fading, which matters under South African sun. Interior work covers shampoo extraction, leather cleaning and feeding, and odour treatment. Ask to see previous work, ask which polishing system is used, and confirm what aftercare the coating requires.
